Does a lawyer's duty of confidentiality still apply when a firm uses AI?
Yes. Under the Swedish Code of Judicial Procedure, chapter 8, section 4, first paragraph, a lawyer must keep confidential what the lawyer learns in the practice of the profession when good legal practice requires it, and the provision makes no exception for digital tools. AdvokatAI is in a pilot phase during 2026 and is built so that client data is meant to stay under the firm's own control.
What does AdvokatAI do?
AdvokatAI is AI automation that Wilhelmsson Labs builds inside Swedish law firms' own systems, instead of selling a shared cloud service. The firm owns the system after delivery. AdvokatAI is in a pilot phase during 2026 and we are looking for the first pilot firm.
What does AdvokatAI cost for a law firm?
AdvokatAI costs SEK 70,000 as a one-time fee plus SEK 3,490 per month for operation, support and updates in Tier A, where we run the system. In Tier B the system is installed on the firm's own server for a one-time fee of SEK 130,000 plus about SEK 100 per month in server costs to the server provider. The one-time prices include VAT. Tier C and all terms are on advokat-ai.se/priser.
How does AdvokatAI differ from ChatGPT or Legora?
AdvokatAI is not a ready-made platform that all firms share, but a solution that Wilhelmsson Labs builds in the firm's own environment and that the firm owns. It is adapted to the firm's case types, templates and routines. In Tier B the firm also owns the source code, prompts and AI configuration.
Which tasks can AI automate at a law firm?
AdvokatAI is being built for client intake by chat and phone, drafts of standard agreements, KYC documentation and time logging from email, meetings and document work. The lawyer always reviews and approves what the AI produces. None of this is in operation at any firm yet.
Where is client data stored if the firm installs AdvokatAI on its own server?
In Tier B, AdvokatAI is installed on the firm's own server at OVH in Strasbourg or Hetzner in Helsinki, and the client data stays there. Wilhelmsson Labs never owns the client data.
